Check a sealed read
Some traders keep a public Telegram journal of the reads Foresight makes on their trades. When a read is made, a code is posted in the channel. Once the trade has closed, the read is posted under it in a box. If the box gives the code, the read is, word for word, the one that existed when the code was posted.
The check below runs in your browser. What you paste never leaves it, the check reads nothing from our servers, and you need no account.
Posted under the code once the trade has closed.
From the message posted when the read was made.
Paste a box and its code
The check runs in this browser as you paste.
How to check a read
- In the channel, find the message with the code. It reads like
Sealed read #12, made 5 Oct 2026 at 08:30:04 UTC.and holds a code of 64 characters. Telegram stamps it with its own time. - Under it, once the trade has closed, the read is posted in a box. Tap the box to copy it.
- Paste the box and the code above, or work out the box's SHA-256 with any tool you trust. The two must be the same.
The method, in exact words (v1)
The box is these lines, each ending in a line break except the last:
- Line 1
Sealed read #<number>, The Trader's Hindsight, method v1 - Line 2
Trade: <instrument> <side>, opened <YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS> UTC, or, when the broker did not report the open,Trade: <instrument> <side>, open time not reported by the broker - Line 3
Read made: <YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS> UTC - Line 4
Key: <the key> - Line 5An empty line.
- Line 6 onThe read, word for word, as Foresight sent it to the trader.
Before the box is hashed, and before it is checked here, it is put in one fixed form. The box is posted already in that form, so an exact copy needs no change:
- Unicode normal form C (NFC).
- Every line break is one line feed (LF), so a carriage return, with or without a line feed after it, becomes one line feed.
- The zero-width characters U+200B, U+200C, U+200D, U+2060 and U+FEFF are removed.
- No-break spaces, U+00A0 and U+202F, become plain spaces.
- Spaces and tabs at the end of each line are removed.
- Blank lines at the start and at the end are removed, and no line break follows the last line.
The code is the SHA-256 of the box's UTF-8 bytes, written as 64 hex characters in lower case.
The key is 32 random bytes, written as 64 hex characters, made for each read and kept secret until its trade closes. Without it, no one can find a read's code by trying the reads it might be.
A worked example
Repeat it with your own tool. Its key is a pattern, not a real key.
Sealed read #1, The Trader's Hindsight, method v1 Trade: EURUSD BUY, opened 2026-10-05 08:30:00 UTC Read made: 2026-10-05 08:30:04 UTC Key: 0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef Foresight: EURUSD BUY 0.5 lots Inside your plan: usual size, stop and target set, no news near. See this and past reads: https://tradershindsight.com/foresight
Its code is aee41ceda1b0abec873d4e65e10eea810554aa9ad16b84bb74724ecae3040123
Change 0.5 lots to 0.6 lots and the code becomes 34130d5103fcf68b2727cdb885d8607fc85de8ccd2d9252131cb6c3a5aeaa7b6
On a Mac or on Linux, save the box as a file named box.txt and run:
printf %s "$(cat box.txt)" | shasum -a 256
On Linux, sha256sum works in place of shasum -a 256. The command drops a line break your editor may add after the last line.
What the proof shows, and what it does not
It shows that the box's exact words existed when Telegram stamped the code's message. Nobody, us included, can change a word of a sealed read after its code is posted, because a changed box gives a different code.
- The time that counts is Telegram's own stamp on the code's message. The “Read made” line inside the box is ours.
- Telegram marks an edited message “edited”. We never edit a code's message, so one marked edited proves nothing.
- Reads are numbered 1, 2, 3 in each journal, with no gaps. A missing number is a deleted post.
- A code whose trade has closed, with no read posted under it, is a read that was not shown.
- The trade's details in the box (instrument, side and open time) are our record of the trade, as the broker reported it. The proof shows they were written then, not that they match the broker's own statement.
- It shows when the read was written, not whether the read was right.
